Tennessee – A Tennessee man was taken into custody last week charged with first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, and using a firearm with intent to commit a feIony. These charges stem from an incident that occurred earlier this year at a local tire shop.
The events leading to the charges began earlier that day when an elderly woman engaged in a physical altercation with the victim, S. Cob, the owner of the shop. According to a complaint affidavit reviewed by L&C, the woman sprayed the victim with pepper spray, and the victim responded by pushing her to the ground.
Several hours later, the defendant, 29-year-old T. Cury, arrived at the shop, inquiring about the owner. Upon being directed to the victim, both the defendant and the victim had a conversation. Suddenly, the defendant drew a firearm and shot the victim multiple times, resulting in his death. The defendant then turned and shot a second employee, a woman, in the legs before fleeing the scene…
