Downtown Mobile shooting update: Second arrest made

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile police say a second man has been arrested in connection with an Aug. 10 shooting in Downtown Mobile that injured two people.

According to an MPD news release, on Tuesday, Aug. 19, at about 10:46 p.m., 23-year-old Robert Kyles of Irvington turned himself in to Metro Jail.

He was charged with first-degree assault and five counts of discharging a gun into an occupied/unoccupied building/vehicle.

On Aug. 10, officers were called to the area of St. Francis and North Franklin streets in reference to a shooting.

When officers arrived, they learned that two men had been taken by personal car to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Several vehicles were hit by gunfire as well…
