New Castle Woman Arrested After Alleged Stabbing at Local Motel

NEW CASTLE, DE — Delaware State Police have arrested a 32-year-old woman following an alleged stabbing incident at a New Castle motel that left one man injured.

According to investigators, the incident occurred on August 18, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m. when troopers were dispatched to the Best Knight Inn, located at 1200 West Avenue, for a reported stabbing.

When officers arrived, they learned that a male victim had allegedly been stabbed in the arm by Tanekqua Stanford of New Castle. The victim was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where his injuries were reported as non-life-threatening
