Man booked with murder opened fire on CCC bridge in retaliation, police say

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A New Orleans man has been accused of murder in his brother’s death after the siblings allegedly opened fire on another man once accused of killing their cousin in 2019.

Jawuan Riley, 25, was booked into the Orleans Justice Center on Tuesday (Aug. 19) on a count of second-degree murder, in connection with the July 27 killing of his brother, 27-year-old Vincent Robertson.

Police said in documents filed in Criminal District Court that Riley is responsible for his brother’s death, after the pair allegedly followed a group of men onto the Crescent City Connection bridge and started shooting at them…
