Man sentenced after leaving child in car at Douglas County courthouse

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A man who left his child in a car while he was in Douglas County court for a probation violation hearing has been sentenced.

Ahmed Izzadin, 33, entered a plea of guilty in April to the charge of committing child abuse negligently, resulting in no injury. That charge is a misdemeanor.

The charge is a downgrade from the initial charge of committing child abuse intentionally, resulting in no injury.

Izzadin was sentenced to 200 days in jail with zero credit for time served…
