TROY — The Slidin’ Dirty name will return to the Collar City in the fall as a large restaurant and performance venue in the 11,000-square-foot former River Street Market space on the ground floor of Hedley Park Place on River Street.
Owner Tim Taney launched the brand as a food truck in 2012, opened Slidin’ Dirty as a restaurant on First Street in downtown Troy in 2014 and rebranded it two years ago as a music-focused pub called Twisted Fiddler, which closed in October when its lease ended. Taney said Thursday he was approached by Hedley Park Place owner First Columbia soon after Twisted Fiddler closed about repurposing what had been River Street Market, a multistall food court that opened in summer 2019 but had largely fizzled by last summer as vendors left and were not replaced.
