County supervisor supports more security measures at Panorama Park

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The deadly shooting of Brody Davis at Bakersfield’s Panorama Park sparked community concerns over park safety in the wake of the Aug. 17 shooting.17-year-old Brody Davis was just one of over a dozen in a crowd, when police said he attempted to stop an altercation — he was shot and killed. 19-year-old Sebastian Dominguez pleaded not guilty to murder charges.

The shooting was all captured on video, a crowd of young people flooded the parks only parking lot. People were dancing on cars and videoing active fist fights.

At one point, a Bakersfield Police Department patrol car slowed down and shined a flood light on the crowd but pulls away. The department said in a statement that there was a call for shots fired over a mile down Panorama Drive and officers went there as priority. During this time, shots rang out, while they did, the fatal park shooting happens…
