From ocean to asphalt: Loggerhead Triathlon welcomes first-timers and seasoned pros alike

JUPITER, Fla. (CBS12) — The Loggerhead Triathlon is back for its 38th year, bringing together hundreds of athletes, volunteers, and spectators for one of South Florida’s most beloved endurance events. Produced by the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce and proudly sponsored by Tampa General Hospital, the sprint-style triathlon kicks off Saturday morning at Carlin Park.

CBS12 News is not only covering the event — it’s competing. Meteorologist Jennifer Collins is among the 450 registered athletes, tackling the ocean swim, bike ride, and run for the first time at Loggerhead.
