WARWICK, R.I. (WJAR) — A suspect in the shooting death of a teenager in Cranston was ordered held without bail at his arraignment Friday.
Police said D’Maury Monteiro of Fall River waived extradition from Massachusetts — he was arrested in Boston — and was arraigned in Kent County District Court on a first-degree murder charge and two weapons counts.
Monteiro, 19, is accused of shooting 16-year-old Eduardo Loran Colon of Providence at Pocasset Village Apartments on Aug. 11.
