WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – A rally to celebrate Ukrainian Independence Day is set to be held in Wilmington this weekend.
The event commemorates the 34th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence and features the following speakers:
- Mayor Bill Saffo
- Wilmington City Council member Salette Andrews
- County Commissioner Rob Zapple
- Retired diplomat Jonathan Berger
The event is scheduled to take place on Aug. 24 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Innes Park.
