One man has died and another was taken to the hospital for injuries following a two-care collision in San Patricio County near Odem, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Joshua Resendez, 41, has been pronounced dead as a result of the crash according to the DPS, while 66-year-old Eliasar Sandoval was taken to a hospital and released after being treated for injuries from the crash.
The DPS said Sandoval was driving a dump truck and turning right to travel northbound on Highway 77 from Angelita Drive just south of Odem just before 9:50 a.m. on Aug. 20, while Resendez was driving north in his 2012 Dodge Ram on Highway 77 approaching the intersection.
