The UT System Board of Regents authorized university presidents Thursday to replace faculty senates with less independent groups monitored by regents.
Limiting faculty’s administrative control is part of a new law going into effect Sept. 1. The decision affects all 14 institutions within the UT System, although it’s unclear for now how it will directly impact UTA.
