Drought continues to worsen across Southern Missouri and Northern Arkansas. In fact, moderate drought conditions are now showing up in the latest Drought Monitor update.
It’s a dramatic turn of events after record-setting spring rains spilled into early summer. A change in the pattern around the middle of July has placed much of the Ozarks on the dry side of a summer heat dome that has also been baking the area with highs in the upper 90s and low 100s.
