Utah Man Among Suspects Arrested in Armed Home Invasion of Miami-Dade Jeweler

An alarming home invasion in Southwest Miami-Dade has led to multiple arrests, following an incident where a Utah man and others are accused of an armed robbery targeting a local jeweler.

On March 13, York Valdez, a renowned jeweler with a substantial social media following, found himself, his family, and a toddler held at gunpoint for hours by masked assailants. The thieves, who forcefully entered Valdez’s residence, made away with around $75,000 in jewelry, clothing, and also stole Valdez’s Cadillac SUV, according to WSVN.

Jean Carlos Honores Vasquez, a 31-year-old from West Jordan, Utah, has been charged with armed occupied burglary with a battery, armed kidnapping, armed robbery, and conspiracy. This third suspect joins Wilfredo Antuna, 35, of Orlando, and Keith Ingraham, 57, of northwest Miami-Dade, who have already been arrested in connection with the crime. As reported by Local10, cellphone data placed Honores Vasquez, Antuna, and another man by the name of 32-year-old Felipe Carrere Cobas, at the scene of Valdez’s home during the robbery.
