A wanted woman was arrested after she was allegedly driving over 100 mph on the 5 Freeway in Castaic Wednesday.
Around 6 a.m. Wednesday, a California Highway Patrol (CHP) Newhall Area officer observed a white Infiniti SUV traveling at a high rate of speed, estimated at 105 mph on the northbound 5 Freeway approaching Castaic, said Officer Carlos Burgos-Lopez, spokesperson for the CHP Newhall Area Office.
“As the officer attempted to make an enforcement stop, the driver continued to accelerate, in and out of traffic and tailgating other vehicles, reaching speeds of up to 114 mph,” Burgos-Lopez said.
