BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Bogdan Boceanu, a Romanian man convicted of stealing EBT benefits from families in Kern County, was sentenced on Friday.
Boceanu was sentenced to 16 months in connection to EBT theft. According to court records, he currently has credit for 352 days already served in custody, meaning he could be out after serving time for around 130 more days.
Boceanu will also need to pay restitution, according to records.
