Inmate sentenced for narcotics possession at Kern Valley State Prison

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A convicted murderer was sentenced Thursday for possessing narcotics in a Delano prison, announced District Attorney Cynthia Zimmer.

Stephen Williams, 52, was sentenced to an additional 25 years to life in prison for his most recent crime, possession of a controlled substance in prison.

On December 13, 2024 officers observed Williams receiving a small bindle from a visitor which was later determined to be narcotics, after officers conducted a search and sent the substance to be analyzed…
