Dorchester County sheriff identifies four arrested in killing of Orangeburg Co. teenager

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — Four people have been arrested in connection with the death of an 18-year-old whose body was found in the rural Rosinville community earlier this month.

Dorchester County Sheriff Sam Richardson is expected to hold a 4 p.m. briefing on Friday to discuss “major new information” in the ongoing homicide investigation.

The victim — later identified as Antwon Javice Carmichel of Orangeburg County — was found near White House Pond Road on the morning of August 3 after deputies responded to the location for reports of a suspicious package.
