28th Street Metro Cruise Celebrates 20 Years of Classics

There are many car cruises in Michigan, but one in West Michigan is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and you’re invited to join the celebration!

Growing up on the Southeast side of Michigan, I always heard about the Woodward Cruise in Detroit and Back to the Bricks in Flint. Now that I live on the west side of the state, the spotlight is on the 28th Street Metro Cruise.

Classic Car Cruise

A classic car cruise is a casual car meet where owners of vintage vehicles display their cars in a public area, or slowly drive (cruise) around a designated route or parking lot, allowing spectators to view them and socialize with other car enthusiasts.

The oldest and largest car cruise in Michigan is the Woodward Dream Cruise. This cruise started as a fundraiser in Ferndale in 1995 and has since grown to become the world’s largest one-day automotive event. It is the only day of the year when people want to be in traffic in the Motor City…
