KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Knoxville Mayor Indya Kincannon spoke with WVLT on Thursday about the proposed sale of Chilhowee Park to Emerald Youth.
“We don’t want to go faster than the community is ready to go,” said Mayor Kincannon. “The last several years, Emerald and me and Councilmember McKenzie have focused our outreach and engagement with the people of East Knoxville who are most likely to enjoy and take advantage and benefit most directly from the programs and services that Emerald would provide.”
