Tracy, Calif. – The City of Tracy proudly announces the grand opening of Daniel Ray Schack Park, a new 5.7-acre neighborhood park in the Tracy Hills community. Named in honor of long-time resident and community leader Daniel Ray Schack, the park reflects both his passion for people and his lifelong dedication to making Tracy a better place to live.
Daniel Ray Schack has devoted decades to improving the lives of Tracy residents. As the founder of Schack & Company, he combined professional excellence with a deep commitment to service. Beyond his career, Schack spearheaded impactful programs such as the Glover/Schack Flu Shot Clinics, the Paws 4 Friends Pet Therapy Program, and Good Samaritan Community Services. He was also a founding president of the Tracy City Center Association and an active supporter of the Tracy Friends for Parks, Recreation, & Community Services Foundation. His leadership and generosity have earned him numerous recognitions, including Citizen of the Year and the From the Heart Award.
“Mr. Schack’s dedication and commitment have touched generations of Tracy families,” said Mayor Dan Arriola. “This park is a tribute to his extraordinary contributions and will stand as a place where neighbors gather, children play, and community thrives—just as he has always envisioned for Tracy.”
