The magic of the holidays will come alive at the Bob Hope Theatre on Friday, November 7, 2025, when Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet takes the stage as part of its 33rd annual North American tour.
This year’s production delivers a breathtaking twist on the beloved holiday classic, merging the beauty of classical ballet with daring acrobatics, larger-than-life puppets, and international artistry. Directed by acclaimed Ukrainian choreographer Viktor Davydiuk, the show offers a fresh reimagining of The Nutcracker that blends cherished tradition with bold innovation.
A Nutcracker Unlike Any Other
Audiences can expect much more than the familiar story of Clara and her enchanted adventure. Highlights include:
- The “Doves of Peace” Adagio – a moving, symbolic scene that embodies unity and harmony.
- Spectacular Puppetry – featuring 10-foot-tall animal puppets and hand-crafted birds created by South African artist Roger Titley.
- Dazzling Acrobatics – a Cyr Wheel performance by the Herald, guiding Clara through the magical Land of Peace and Harmony.
- Cultural Showcases – dynamic performances representing heritages from around the world, including a thrilling acrobatic Arabian number.
With a troupe of 40 dancers from ballet capitals across the globe, including principal ballerinas from Ukraine’s top opera houses, this production celebrates the universal message of peace while delivering a theatrical experience unlike any other Nutcracker.
