FHP investigating fiery crash on I-95 that killed 2

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Florida Highway Patrol troopers continue to investigate a wreck earlier this week where a car rolled off the interstate and slammed into a tree, killing a Connecticut man and a woman. The woman has not yet been identified.

The incident involving a 2025 Nissan Sentra happened about 7:47 p.m. on Wednesday along northbound Interstate 95 near the 152 mile-marker. The 58-year-old man from Guilford was driving the car and the unidentified woman was a passenger, according to officials.

For an unknown reason, the car veered off the roadway and struck the tree, highway troopers said. The Nissan became engulfed in flames…
