LINCOLN, Neb. — Governor Jim Pillen has appointed Lisa Lunz as the new District 4 director of the Nebraska Corn Board (NCB), succeeding Debbie Borg, who opted not to seek reappointment after serving since 2013. Lunz, a fourth-generation farmer from Wakefield, Nebraska, brings 37 years of farming experience to the board. She and her husband, Jim, cultivate corn and soybeans on their farm.
Lunz holds a degree in animal science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and has held various leadership roles, including Dixon County Supervisor and member of the Nebraska Soybean Board. Her commitment to the corn industry is well recognized.
“I’m pleased to welcome Lisa Lunz to the Nebraska Corn Board,” said Brandon Hunnicutt, chairman of NCB. “With her extensive farming experience and leadership background, Lisa will be a valuable addition to our organization. We’re looking forward to her insights and contributions as we work together to promote the interests of Nebraska’s corn growers.”…
