Former Pulaski County deputy arrested following contraband investigation

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. – A former deputy with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office and two others have been arrested following a contraband investigation at a local jail.

In a release, officials with the sheriff’s office said that its Criminal Investigations Division finished an investigation into the introduction of prohibited items into the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility.

Following the investigation, Jeffery Miller, a deputy with the sheriff’s office at the time of his arrest, was taken into custody and charged with furnishing prohibited articles into a jail facility.

Officials also said that Lance Noid, an inmate currently housed at the detention center, and Ameshia Burt were arrested and are facing charges related to their involvement in the introduction of prohibited items…
