Parents of toddler killed in Oswego Portillo’s crash speak out, file wrongful death suit

OSWEGO, Ill. (WGN) — The parents of a two-year-old killed in a tragic accident last July at the Portillo’s in Oswego have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the restaurant chain.

While Schyler and Christina McKee say they can’t bring their baby boy back, they’re hopeful the steps taken legally will lead to saving lives.

“You don’t go out somewhere expecting not to come home with your two-year-old,” Christina McKee said Friday. “Nobody should go through that.”
