DENVER (KDVR) — A man died after he was shot during a struggle with officers early Friday morning in the area of South Dahlia Street and East Warren Avenue, police said.
The Denver Police Department said officers were on scene investigating separate calls of shots fired and a domestic violence incident at around 4 a.m. Friday when they saw a woman coming towards them from an apartment complex, followed by a man.
Police said the man, identified as an adult hispanic man, ran the other direction when he saw them, and after a pursuit and “pretty lengthy struggle,” the man produced a handgun in his right hand. While struggling to contain the gun, police said one officer fired a single shot, striking the man…
