GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gainesville Housing Authority and Newstar Development officially broke ground on Phase II of the Woodland Park Redevelopment, ushering in the next chapter in transforming public housing in Gainesville.
This phase will replace 78 aging units with 144 modern, energy-efficient units designed to meet the needs of Gainesville’s families, seniors, and individuals. Demolition and construction activities have begun, with completion expected in late 2026.
