NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — Jessamine County animal rights advocates are asking for help after a four-month-old puppy was stolen from the shelter by a woman who was there with a man and a child.
Jessamine County Animal Care and Control posted on Facebook around 6 p.m. on Aug. 22 that the puppy, a black-and-white pit bull mix named Wendell, was reportedly stolen by a pair accompanied by a child.

Security cameras reportedly captured footage of the woman with Wendell at the shelter just before the puppy was stolen.
The group reportedly left in a dark blue or black Chevrolet sedan with damage on the front and back of the vehicle.
