New York weather: Erin leaves beaches too dangerous to enter even as skies clear

Despite clear skies and warm temperatures forecast across the tri-state this weekend, officials are warning that the ocean remains treacherous in the wake of Hurricane Erin, which passed offshore late last week.

“Saturday will be a nice clear day but that doesn’t mean beaches will be safe,” said FOX Weather meteorologist Cody Braud. If you’re going to the beach, be on high alert. It’s not something you should take lightly.”
