Sheriff Julian Whittington of the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office recently toured the Shriners Children’s Shreveport facility in anticipation of BSO’s upcoming “Kids Shoot for Youth Charities” program, which is scheduled for October 18, 2025.
During his visit, Sheriff Whittington had the privilege of meeting patients and staff, gaining firsthand insight into the outstanding work being done by Shriners to serve children in need. Shriners Children’s Shreveport, the first hospital in what would become the Shriners Children’s system, has been treating children since 1922.
Audrey Lester, a first grader at Legacy Elementary School in Bossier Parish, is currently undergoing treatment at the Shreveport facility. Audrey shared with the Sheriff her dream of one day becoming a law enforcement officer…
