Tulsa, Oklahoma Weather: Scattered Thunderstorms Possible Saturday Afternoon with Gusty Winds

Tulsa, Okla. – Widely scattered thunderstorms are expected across parts of northeast Oklahoma Saturday afternoon and evening as a cold front pushes through the state. While severe weather is not anticipated, brief heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning remain possible.

According to the National Weather Service in Tulsa, the best chance for storms will be north of Interstate 44, including communities like Bartlesville, Vinita, and Miami, where rain probabilities range from 20 to 30 percent. Farther south toward Tulsa, Muskogee, and McAlester, storm chances drop to 10 percent or less.

Drivers should watch for rapidly changing weather conditions, especially on highways across northeast Oklahoma.
