Evansville Restaurant Signs First Female Athlete to NIL Deal

A milestone moment was had recently at Casey’s Dugout in Evansville, Indiana, as the community came together to celebrate the signing of Miss Myla Browning, the first female athlete to join the Dugout’s NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) program.

Casey’s Dugout has already signed several local athletes, including Michael Lindauer, Branson Combs (who plays for the Jacksonville Jaguars), Will Rogers, Alex Broshears, and Asher Evans. Casey tells me they are signing another great athlete, Luke Ellsperman, tonight, followed by Simon Shultz in the next few weeks. How amazing is that?!

Here’s what owner Casey Keown says about the NIL program…

“For us, these NIL deals aren’t about money; they’re about creating opportunities. They’re designed to be educationally focused and to encourage the personal and athletic growth of some of our community’s brightest young talents.”

A Standout Athlete at Memorial High School

At Memorial High School, Myla stood out as one of the top athletes in Evansville. She excelled in soccer, basketball, and track, becoming All-City in all three sports and earning First Team All-State honors. Her dominance on the field and court culminated in her being named the 2025 SIAC Female Athlete of the Year.

Hard Work Beyond the Court and Field

Myla also brings that impressive work ethic to her job at Casey’s Dugout. She spent countless Friday nights helping in the kitchen, showing the same dependability and determination she brings to sports. Myla is hardworking, humble, and always reliable – and has earned the respect of everyone around her.

Myla is in Marion, IN, this fall, continuing her education and athletic career at Indiana Wesleyan University. She’ll compete for a spot on the Lady Wildcats women’s basketball team…
