Humidity Drops, But Temps Stay Hot Through Weekend

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) -Another hot day is expected, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. The good news is there’s no heat advisory today, thanks to a cold front bringing in some drier air. That will help things feel a bit more comfortable as we head into the weekend. Temperatures will still climb into the 90s over the next few days, but as more dry air filters in, humidity levels will drop noticeably. By next week, we’ll really feel the difference, with highs in the 80s and much drier, more pleasant air moving in.

This afternoon and evening, scattered storms are possible, mainly south of I-20. These storms could bring gusty winds, heavy rainfall, and small hail, so it’s a good idea to stay weather-aware later in the day…
