A public hearing for the proposed fiscal year 2025-26 budget and tax rate will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 9.
The proposed budget decreases the city’s tax rate to 41.54 cents per $100 of assessed property value. This rate is a reduction of 0.21 cents from the previous year’s tax rate of 41.75 cents.
At a property tax rate of 41.54 cents, the municipal tax paid on the median-valued single-family residential home — valued at $476,105 — will be $1,978, or about $165 per month…
