17-year-old girl stabbed woman outside 69th Street Red Line station: police

A 17-year-old girl is facing felony charges after police say she stabbed and critically injured a woman during a fight outside the 69th Street Red Line station on Friday evening.

Witnesses reported seeing a fight break out between the teenager and a 20-year-old woman around 5:55 p.m.. During the struggle, police said, the teen pulled out a “sharp object” and stabbed the victim twice in the torso.

Officers assigned to the CPD Transit Unit were nearby and quickly arrested the 17-year-old at the scene. The woman was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition…
