SAN ANTONIO — A 67-year-old man has been arrested following a machete attack that left a victim with multiple lacerations requiring up to 30 stitches.
Deputies responded to the incident at Talley Food Mart on August 16, 2025, but both the suspect, Jorge Ariel Gonzalez Lopez, and the victim had fled the scene before authorities arrived.
The victim was located the following day and expressed a desire to pursue charges against Lopez. On August 19, a search warrant was executed at Lopez’s residence on Dugas Drive, where he was identified from bystander video footage.
