CLINTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — A 24-year-old Whitehouse Station man was arrested after police stopped a stolen vehicle on Route 31 North in Clinton Township last month, authorities said.
According to the Clinton Township Police Department, an officer on routine patrol on July 19 received an Automated License Plate Reader alert that a gray Mazda reported stolen was traveling northbound. The officer saw the vehicle speeding and conducted a traffic stop near Route 173.
The driver, identified as Felipe J. Gonzalez, exhibited signs of impairment and was found in possession of narcotics, police said. Gonzalez was taken into custody and transported to headquarters, where he underwent field sobriety tests and chemical testing.
