1 killed in suspected DUI crash in SW Bakersfield, 2 others drove drunk through barricade: BPD

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — One person was killed and two others injured in a suspected alcohol-related crash early Sunday, after which two motorists drove through a police barricade during the investigation and were arrested on suspicion of DUI, police said.

The crash happened at about 1:20 a.m. when a vehicle traveling west on Panama Lane collided with a vehicle headed south on Stine Road, police said.

A woman in her 20s — a passenger in the southbound vehicle — was ejected and found in the roadway, police said. She was declared dead at the scene…
