COVINGTON, Ky. (WKRC) – Deshawn Parker, a 30-year-old man from Cincinnati, was sentenced to 24 months in prison for possession of a machinegun, Chief U.S. District Judge David Bunning announced on Thursday.
Court documents revealed that on September 21, 2024, law enforcement officers conducted a traffic stop on Parker’s vehicle in Covington. Officers detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. When asked to exit the car for a drug investigation, Parker refused and attempted to flee. Officers managed to remove him from the vehicle, discovering a small amount of marijuana and spent shell casings from a firearm.
