Local law enforcement officers are investigating an email phishing scam that recently attacked the Nueces County Courthouse, resulting in the loss of tens of thousands of taxpayer funds.
An individual from the county’s Risk Management office told the Nueces County sheriff about a $58,000 security breach, prompting an investigation of the incident, according to Sheriff J.C. Hooper.
