Madison police issue 22 citations after Olbrich Park traffic enforcement

MADISON, Wis. — Madison police issued 22 citations on Saturday night after complaints of dangerous driving and excessive noise, involving approximately 125-150 vehicles at Olbrich Park.

The Madison Police Department Central District Community Policing Team conducted traffic enforcement of a group of vehicles which repeatedly  engaged in dangerous driving behavior, police said. More than a dozen motorcycles evaded attempted traffic stops, which police said is a felony.

Multiple traffic stops and a trespass enforcement operation led to the citations which included trespassing on private property, dangerous driving violations, and noise violations. The traffic enforcement was mainly in the Atwood Avenue area and the E. Washington corridor…
