Historic S.A. burger spot shuts original restaurant after fire

A fire broke out inside a well-known San Antonio restaurant late Friday night, forcing employees to evacuate. Fire officials said the flames began in the kitchen before spreading into the attic.

The San Antonio Fire Department responded to the original Burger Boy on the St. Mary’s Strip around 11:10 p.m. after reports of smoke coming from the building. Crews acted quickly with an aggressive attack that kept the fire from spreading further and causing more damage.
