A Tampa, Fla., fishing captain initially thought a sentimental gold bracelet given to him by his father was lost forever when it came off his wrist and fell into the water during an excursion last week — until two divers were able to recover it from the ocean floor.

“It was just an ecstatic moment, man,” Tyler Feijoo, the captain, told CBS affiliate WTSP, saying of the divers, “I owe them lifetime.”

On Thursday, Aug. 14, Feijoo and his first mate Ty Colby — both of whom operate fishing charter company Keep on Reeling — were on their vessel scouting locations when they came across some mahi, WTSP and The Miami Heraldreported. That was when Feijoo started throwing bait…
