PORT ST. LUCIE – When I think of chicken salad, I think mayo and chicken. Or, for a healthy version, add grapes and almonds. A recent visit to Chicken Salad Chick, one of the newest dining options in Tradition, proved there’s a lot more chicken salad to cluck about.
Walking into Chicken Salad Chick was a surprise. I knew they had taken over the old Subway space, so I expected it to be small with few tables. I was happy to see that they had taken over additional space and the dining area is large with ample seating.
The décor is reminiscent of the ’60s with daisy tablecloths, bright, two-toned green walls and kitschy sayings, such as “Good food brings people together and nourishes the soul.” Even the restrooms get in on the liveliness with lady’s bathrooms labeled “Chicks’ and men’s labeled “Chick Magnets”. The whole theme is fun, fresh, open and inviting…
