‘It just breaks your heart’: Niece of WWII veteran disappointed by condition of gravestones at local cemetery

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Holy Sepulchre Cemetery is the final resting place of thousands of veterans – but many of their headstones are covered in dead grass, dirt and debris, making them difficult to read.

That’s where one woman is hoping to step in and fix that.

“These are our veterans. These are soldiers who died and gave their lives to this country,” said Susan Nati. “And they don’t deserve to be treated this way.”…
