RIO LINDA, Calif. — A bicyclist is in the hospital after he collided with a black SUV in Rio Linda Sunday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was riding westbound in the bike lane while a woman was driving an SUV along Elkhorn Boulevard, near L Street. Police said the collision happened when the bicyclist cut across in front of the driver and collided with the car around 4 p.m.
The bicyclist, only described as a man in his 50s, was taken to a hospital with major injuries.
