Syracuse police initiative aims to build community trust through foot patrols

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse Police Department is continuing its use of the Koper Curve; a strategy designed to address crime hotspots and foster community relationships. The program involves officers dedicating time each shift to leave their vehicles and walk through designated areas for 10 to 20 minutes.
