SYRACUSE, N.Y (WSYR-TV)– Thunderstorms swept through parts of Central New York Sunday afternoon with damaging wind, large hail, and heavy rain. Winds at the Syracuse International Airport in Syracuse gusted to 56 mph just after 4:00 pm, and just shy of half an inch of rain fell. Parts of the New York State Fairgrounds sustained damage.
