(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Around 70 people participated in a cleanup event at Monument Valley Park in Colorado Springs on Saturday, Aug. 24, as part of the city’s Keep It Clean COS program.
Mayor Yemi Mobolade attended the event, emphasizing the importance of the citywide initiative to remove trash from public spaces such as medians and streets. The city helped remove over 55,000 tons of trash and debris in 2024, highlighting the program’s success and the goal to increase cleanup efforts this year.
